What small town in the USA is very gloomy?
I am in the process of writing a book. My character lives with her father in a gloomy, almost always overcasted, very rainy small town in the USA. It is a book with a location that i have not yet decided. If you have any ideas please give me a city and state that suit the description above. It will be published sometime within the next 3 years by Dorrance Publishing Co. Any location that fits my description will help. What would be a lucrative business to start in a very small town (appx 1-5 thousand people?
I’m thinking of relocating to a small town to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I would like to continue to work from home doing the job I do now but I thought maybe there might be something that I could do that would be lucrative in a very small town.
By the way, the towns I am considering are in incredibly scenic areas. One town also has a casino nearby.
