Am I nuts? Can you believe that a Newyorker can even consider this?
I want to ask you guys if we will enjoy ourselves, we both like the mountains and the winter season.
I am going to fly from NYC(JFK) to Anchorage with Delta Airlines and I want to know a small town near Anchorage.
We will rent a Jeep in Anchorage.

People say I sing really good, and believe that i can become famous one day, But how? i live in such a small town with only once a year talent show and no one offering singing lessons around. I can’t travel to some big city becauses my parents are more worried about my education, and would never do that. I still focus on my studies but i really want to become famous, if i ever do, that will be like the first thing good that came from my life.

I am been pondering a major decision in my life: to leave everything behind and start anew in a place that I actually want to live (rather than let my career dictate where I live). Now, the rub is that I have a PhD in an obscure research field and no practical skills to speak of, so what would I do in a small town to survive (well)? Frankly I am well aware of my strengths and weaknesses and cannot see myself doing anything non-intellectual. Before I fell into academia, I always dreamt of becoming a writer, but I’m also not so delusional to think that I can easily become a famous writer and make a living at it. The thing is I desperately need a change–I sort of burnt-out having met my goals early (became a professor at 26, tenured by 30, and now direct my own research center at 32). I got my PhD not because I was planning a career, but because I was just interested in what I was studying. Having answered my initial questions to my satisfaction, I’m afraid the fire has just gone out.

We live in a small town in Texas and need to leave before Hurricane Ike hits us,and the Mayor says that only the school superintendent can close the schools,so if we leave,our children will have an unexcused absent.We are in a county that has been posted as a warning.Who is the superintendent’s boss in the Mayor’s city?
